I’m an actor with nowhere to act, that’s life on lockdown,
Shopping queues snaking around car parks,
Not a loo roll in sight,
Can’t go to the pub for a pint,
Can’t hug your friends or family,
Can’t take a walk along the beach,
Life on lockdown looks so bleak,
But we have heroes in our midst,
Doctors, nurses, key workers keeping the nation running,
Clapping and cheering on Thursday nights,
Facetime coffee mornings and virtual pubs,
And life slowed down and put into perspective, that’s life on lockdown.
